Classic Resources: Think and Grow Rich

If you are truly dedicated to building your library of success-oriented self development then remember to include the classics. Think and Grow Rich, a Napoleon Hill classic, was first published in 1937.

This work of mastery was an assignment given to Napoleon Hill by Andrew Carnegie, the steel tycoon who was at that time the richest man on the earth.  Carnegie tasked Napoleon Hill with writing about the philosophy of personal achievement. Given only an introductory letter, Hill set out to interview over 500 highly successful people such as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, William Wrigley Jr., George Eastman, and Charles Schwab.

Two decades of research and interviews culminated into an amazing collection of thirteen steps to success, which led to the seventeeen principles of success that Napoleon Hill shared in his lectures and teaching.

Think and Grow Rich may be decades old but the principles still apply today, and Think and Grow Rich continues to sell numerous copies each year as a classic business success training resource.

This book is available in both paperback and audiobook formats.

Here’s a guide to the Napoleon Hill recommended reading materials:

1. The Think and Grow Rich (1937) – I recommend the Action Pack edition.
2. Napoleon Hill’s Keys to Success: The 17 Principles of Personal Achievement – this is an excellent support and development tool that takes Think and grow Rich into action.
3. Your Right To Be Rich – this consists of 12 hours of live lectures conducted in Chicago in 1954 covering the 17 principles presented in Keys to Success.
