A subscriber asked this question: “Someone once told me that the way to success was to hire people to run the business that are smarter than you are. When I think about it that seems to be true in any big business I have ever seen. What do you think?”
There is no question that if you want success you have to make the right choices, and take the right actions. This does not mean that there is one way to do things, only one way, but you want to choose the approach of return on investment (ROI). No one, not even the most successful of CEO’s, knows all the answers. What they do know is how to listen, and how to surround themselves with people who know, have the experience, and can offer them the solutions and direction that will return the greatest gain that will outweigh the cost.
Return on investment: surround yourself with people who make positive, successful choices. Create an advisory board, find mentors who show their success in both words and action.

I dont think its necessarily "smarter" than you are, but that they have skills which you lack or enjoy performing tasks which you do not.
